Automated caller. Pressed 9 to "lower my interest rates" according to them. Talked to the guy long enough to find out the name of the company is supposedly "One Source". Read him the riot act. Have been on the do not call list for years. Why were they allowed to call me? The problem with not answering is that they keep calling. Once I make contact the calls seem to stop.
My caller ID said "Out of Area" for the number indicated. I did not bother to answer. Never heard of '000' being used as a prefix to a telephone number.
No they do not like being asked a question. You cannot even call the number back because it is invalid. I am sure that it is a SCAM. I do not know how the Attorney General will even find them. There is a website that they use to fool the recieveing caller with a phoney phone number. It is called GHOST CALLING. You can even use a phone number from someone else. I really feel that if the phone company would, that they have the power to stop it but it would cost them money.
THEY MISREPRESENTED AS CALLING FROM VISA/MASTERCARD HEADQUARTERS. I CALLED MY CREDIT CARD COMPANY AND THEY DON'T SELL MY INFO TO THIRD PARTIES AND DIDN'T CONTACT ME TO LOWER MY RATE AS CLAIMED BY THE MAN ON THE LINE. I GET THESE CALLS FROM THREE OTHER WIERD NUMBERS AT LEAST ONCE A DAY. THEY TRY TO GET YOUR CREDIT CARD INFO. I THINK THIS IS A SCAM LIKE THOSE EMAILS ASKING FOR YOUR INFORMATION SO THEY CAN STEAL CREDIT CARD NUMBERS. PLEASE FILE A COMPLAINT AT FCC.GOV TO TRY TO STOP THESE PEOPLE!
I have had multiple calls from them showing as "Name Unavailable" on my caller ID, but they never leave a message. I'm going to report them to the FCC as I am on the do-not-call list and this is some sort of scam I know.
