I received a call from this number and received a recording saying they were from Card Services and they could lower the interest rate on my credit card to 6.5%. Press 9 for more details. I did and talked with a male operator. He asked if I was interested in lowering my interest rate to 6.5%. I told him I didn't know which credit card he was calling about and the line went dead.
got a call today July 13 - Pressed 9 - spoke with a woman who wanted to know if I had over 5,000 balance on my cards. When I asked for more info she got angry and hung up. DO NOT GIVE YOUR INFO OUT!
Don't play with them, don't answer their questions, don't take their abuse. Just report all the details you can at https://complaints.donotcall.gov. I used *57 to have my Telco run a trace. The person who helped me recognized the company and said the FTC is trying to shut them down.
I tried to file a complaint with donotcall.gov per your instructions. However, I could not get past the first page where I put in the number that came up on my Caller Id. It would not let me continue, unless I corrected the phone number. I really wanted to report them, too.
FYI - I had the same phone call with the same # with a voice message saying to press 9 to take advantage of this offer. When I started asking questions about how they had my credit card account numbers, the phone got static-key and then we were discontinued.
