Received a call on my work line. I answered as I normally would for a business call. Nobody spoke on other end and call was disconnected after about 10 seconds. Thinking it was a business related call, I was curious and redialed the #. Connected to vm that advised if I wanted to speak with a rep to press 1, removed from call list press 2, leave vm press 3, for other questions press 0. If you press 1, the call is disconnected. If you press 3 or 0, it puts you back into an endless voicemail loop. This is nothing more than a phishing scam for telemarketers to "locate" valid phone #'s. Requesting to be removed from the call list will do nothing more than confirm that the number they called is valid.
Telemarketer said calling about cable. I automatically cut him off saying I'm not interested and do not call again. He proceeded to call me a [***] and then hung up.
three calls in the last two days. the first I didn't answer, the second I asked to be removed and got hung up on, the third I got hung up on as soon as I spoke.
this person called and said they were a new cable company and wanted my address to see if they serviced my area, without thinking I gave it to him then when he asked if it was a house or a mobile home, It hit me, what does that matter, so I asked him what the name of his company was again and he hung up. I tried to call back and it says it is not a working number. Am I being cased. Just in case he reads these posts he should know, I have 2 best friends that I keep with me, Mr SMITH and Mr WESSON and we are Very good friends so bring it on, I don't play games and I will protect myself and my home.
Called to offer cheap cable rates. Told caller I had never heard of his company and that I called all carriers and couldn't get service where I live. (Outside of satellite Internet is true) salesman says "Bulls***" and hangs up. WEAK SALESPITCH
