Received a call on my work line. I answered as I normally would for a business call. Nobody spoke on other end and call was disconnected after about 10 seconds. Thinking it was a business related call, I was curious and redialed the #. Connected to vm that advised if I wanted to speak with a rep to press 1, removed from call list press 2, leave vm press 3, for other questions press 0. If you press 1, the call is disconnected. If you press 3 or 0, it puts you back into an endless voicemail loop. This is nothing more than a phishing scam for telemarketers to "locate" valid phone #'s. Requesting to be removed from the call list will do nothing more than confirm that the number they called is valid.
Funny, just signed up for new satellite service thru AT&T (but immediately cancelled). The girl at AT&T that set me up was a foreigner. I ended up cancelling the satellite service because they were going to invoice me for the mini boxes. Funny, But I think it's the people at AT&T getting our numbers and selling them to these people. Anyway this number 314-328-6187 calls me and says I hear you are looking for satellite service? I said no and was about to ask where she got my #. But I was hung up on.
