Had this same guy bite on my car. He is 100% a scammer. Gave him the price of the car he forwarded the paypal info to me. However it was a fake email. Real address was burried in the address field. He also tried to claim the shipper was demading $750 to haul the car and he would pay us back in full after we sent off a moneygram.... Yea no shot buddy. Anyway after we backed out he threatend us with calling the FBI as well as Paypal. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS PERSON.
The same Steve guy just texted me 3:10 AM and said the same thing he would pay via PayPal cu it is easier and faster. Thanks guys for this helpful post
Just got a text from this guy this morning. Same story. Will pay full price and shipper will pickup. No deal dude. Thanks to all you good guys on this thread!
"Steve" txted me within an 10 minutes of my car posting at cars.com. Offered full price, sight unseen via PayPal. Wouldn't do cash/cashiers check. Said he would send a "shipper" to inspect and pick up car. Wouldn't talk on phone. Scammer.
