Thank god for this website! I just received my money orders and have been skeptical since his first overly formal email to me about my bed. The emails I have received are completely identical to the ones a lot of you have! I see that he has a lot of names, I was given the name Mr. Eduarda Moreno. Thanks for posting everyone! You really saved me a lot of time and hassle!

P.S. what should I do with these money orders that he sent me?

The money you sent him is gone.  You will never get it back.

The money orders are fake.  The place where you cashed them will go after you to get the money back.  Contact them.  If you pay them back before the checks bounce maybe they will let you skip paying the bounced check fee.

The type of check is irrelevant though it's generally a cashier's check because banks are required to make the money available to you immediately for cashier's checks, not necessarily so for personal checks. This is a version of fake-check-for-Western-Union-money scam, sometimes dressed up as a job offer or an overpayment for something you're selling or for your services/work. What's important to the scammer is you cash the check and wire the cash back to him or to his accomplice, everything else in the scheme is just window dressing. The check he sends you is fake but it takes a few days after depositing it in your bank account to find out it's fake. The money you Western Union him is your own money you've withdrawn from your own account, the wiring process only takes short hours and the money irretrievable and untraceable. Owing to the difference in processing times, the scammers will have your real money in hand before your bank learns their check is bad. You'll lose the money you send them and may be prosecuted for passing a bad check. Your bank will refuse to absorb the loss as it was a result of your actions, not the bank's. You are effectively acting in the capacity of a bank for the scammer in exchanging your own money for his bad check. It's a scam.
