They've called me several times before and I didn't answer. Caller ID just says "Out of Area." This time I did, and after a long pause, the called said he was from the "American Vets Quality Assurance Foundation". He said the phone call would be recorded for verification purposes. I said no thanks and hung up. I can't find anything about any "American Vets/Veterans Quality Assurance Foundation". I assume it's a scam, or one of those telemarketing companies that collections millions every year and gives only a few thousand to some veterans group.
My caller ID said Sikdar Pralay. Knew it was a telemarketer because of prior calls I didn't answer and looked up the number on the internet.. This time I decided to pick up. No one was there for a few seconds and then "Barry" came on the line. I let him do his talking and when he asked if they could count on me for a donation, I said no. He said he was sorry to have bothered me. He was for donations for Veterans of Foreign Wars.
