This number is a scam for some alien country, I spoke for a person with very strong European or Arabian spelling, they ask me for pay in order to unblock my safari. I can't bel4eavew it, I don't know how to fix it.
Same as above! Just happened! I was looking at a Pinterest post! All of a sudden the computer starts yelling about a virus. I called. An Indian man answered & was pushy. I lied & said if he wants to look & get paid if there was a problem, he had to talk to hubby. Then he bacame very pushy about when he was coming home & when would he call. Gave an 800#. My sister said turn the Mac off & on then force Safari to close. It's back to normal now.. BEWARE!!
same thing at this end, was on website when the message came up, thinking it was legit, I went ahead, got fixed at the tune of $6oo. will try to get the bank to refund the $

Yes and I was told to call the 647 #. An Indian-sounding accent told me that my computer was being used by IP address 216.52.233.169.https !! This was about two hours ago. He asked if I would authorize him to connect me to Cisco but that they charge and that they would have to put a tool on my computer to see who was putting a virus on my computer. I asked how much he said he didn't know and I told him I didn't think so but then he said $299 (so he knew exactly). I was feeling that maybe I was being set up. He told me that Apple can't fix it because it has to go through Cisco network services which he said is the biggest in the world.
