Being on a do not call list means nothing at all. Just a make work project. They call robotically, which I thought was banned here years ago. They can't do anything if they are calling from another country. Most of these people are, and just use a Canadian number. They called my cellphone, I just add each spam number to my rejected list.
These Reliance cretins call about several things namely service packages for heating and cooling.
This nonsense has just started and now they are offering Reliance Home Alarms.
They've been calling 3 to 4 times a day.
If you have an answering machine put the three tone response that occurs when you call a disconnected number on the machine. When you receive a robo call it will recognize that tone and drop your number. It will be inconvenient to lose your machine for the period necessary to catch that call but it was worth it for me. Another sure solution is to run your phone through a voice/data/fax modem and then download Phonetray. Good luck.
Here's the kicker. Reliance Protectron is owned by ADT, not some fly by night scammer so if this is them, they actually would care about CRTC regs for DNC
They just called again. A long pause when I answered. I asked "What are you selling?". He said "Nothing, I want to buy something". I said "Yeah, right" and hung up. They call all the time. Enough of this already. It is harassment.
