I feel like turning off my i.d on my cell phone (which they are calling on) and asking if I can speak to Linda. All I get is people named Baab calling me. ARRRRRRGH!
This is Capital One...again. But they aren't as ruthless as HSBC-CapOne only calls maybe 10x a day-HSBC will call every 20 minutes! I've unplugged my phone for days at a time so I don't have to hear it ring all day AND HSBC doesn't leave a message-THEN WHY EVEN BOTHER CALLING??? I could do that job all day with my kids playing in the background-sign me up since I need the job. This is just one of 10 or 20 numbers they've called from. I like CapOne Linda, she is very pleasant.
I have been logging all the times they call me and it is from various numbers and I just don't answer and since they don't leave a message I do not answer...They even call on Sundays and I have been told that they are not supposed to call on Sunday so I am thinking about answering it on a Sunday and telling them to stop calling and hopefully that will keep them away for a little while anyways
C1 has been calling me. I don't have a C1 card. They are calling for someone else who apparently gave my number. I can't seem to get them to stop calling me. I wrote them a letter abount the matter (including the phone number they were calling and the statement that I don't have a C! account) and they responded that they could not find an account number in my name, would I please provide an account number. Obviously they are staffed by idiots. The ones calling ar East Indian Harijans apparently. They refuse to listen and want me to authorize payment by phone. No one listens. I have now written to the AG in Virginia (where C1 is based) as well as my AG. Maybe they will investigate and instutite a punitive fine. I did learn that it is against Federal Law under FDCPA to hide or disquise the Caller ID as a false or misleading representation, or to continue calling after you have notified them in writing.
I just got a call from this number. I answered it, not knowing who they were. The man asked for ... (MY FIRST NAME). I asked who was calling. He said 'HER EX'!!! I told him he had the wrong number.
I found this site on the internet, called Capital One back to report the inappropriate, unethical and, I think, illegal comment. They were as floored as I am.
Beware of any company that hires people who would do that!!
