This guy, who sounds like he is from India, keeps calling about Solar Panels constantly. Sometimes I get silence. Obviously a bot doing the calling...obviously not calling blindly, as it keeps calling us. If it isn't people trying to sell you things, its the surveys. I believe you can get away with saying anything you want...I usually say "I am very sick and dying and would you please stop calling me so I can die in silence!"
I found that with my Verizon FIOS digital voice service, I can block up to ten specific numbers. So now all I have to do is get nine more! I wonder if it is worth blocking all those with blank caller IDs.
I get calls from this number and another weird one plus one that starts with a V. They cannot be from inside the USA. I called back and they say the number is not in service. I not well, so when I come home treatment I need to rest. Between these people, and my wife's crybaby friends it is really frustrating. My wife is hard of hearing so guess who has to get the phone. And yes I am on the do not call registry. I do not understand why the phone was created. I just hate the thing.
Verizon fios also let's you block private and unknown numbers on that site. I also have my house phone that blocks numbers too. It blocks ones that come up unavailable and no-number. The phone also let's me block 20 numbers. What I do is block a bunch on fios, then a bunch on the the house phone too. It really does cut down on the telemarketers and scammers. If any do get though I just do a quick pick up/ hang up that way it fools the auto dialer into thinking its a non working number.
