Calls asking for Ronnie. I have told them several times that he no longer lives here. He is a disabled veteran and is now in a nursing home at the VA Center and has been given less than 6 months to live due to stage IV lung cancer with metastasis to the bone. I asked them if they would tell me what this is in regards to as I have his power of attorney and I have a letter stating that he is terminally ill with the cancer and that I would be glad to forward them a copy of this letter in case he had insurance on whatever type debt collection this might be for. This is a 60 year old man who has no student loans (ever) and has only a credit card from Capital One with a low balance (less than 300 dollars). This is the only thing this man has owed ever. He has been disabled since 1993 since leaving the service. One of the callers said it was not related to Capital One but then they have continued to call my home and today when I told the caller that I had already talked to a representative from their department and told them that he is in the VA Center nursing home she very rudely hung up on me without giving me a chance to try to find out what this is in reference to and see if we can resolve whatever it is they are calling about. When I tried to call them back the lady that answered the phone said she would transfer me to a representative and hung up on me. They are very rude people and if they were not so quick to hang up on people they may even get some of their issues resolved.
