Number - 718-475-3725 calling me. I have no clue how they got my number because it is coming through on my business 1-800 line that forwards automatically on my cellphone. I say they leave a voicemail about half the time, and its a computerized woman looking for a man who I have never heard of. Attempted to call them back to no avail. This is annoying since this is a BUSINESS line that sends to my cellphone and they call at all hours of the day and night.
Hang up phone call at 7:14 PM Pacific Time on Wednesday,2008.The District Attorney not only from MY town but from their town will hear about this.I am sick and tired of this so I AM notifiying law enforcement officials.
Don't let these people bully you into paying a large lump sum of money. I negotiated a payment schedule of around $340 per month, and I got them to lower that after 4 months, down to $300. I was out of default after 12 months of payments. DO NOT let them intimidate and scare you! You tell THEM what you can pay--do not let them tell YOU what you have to pay!
Better yet, CALL the Dept of Education YOURSELF and ask if you can pay them rather than paying the collection agency.
THEY LEFT A VOICE MSG, I WAS TRYING TO FIGURE OUT WHO WOULD BE CALLING ME AT WORK BECAUSE I DON'T GIVE OUT WORK NUMBER. RETURNED CALL TO FIND OUT THEY WERE LOOKING FOR SOMEONE W/SAME 1ST NAME, DIFFERENT LAST NAME. WRONG DOB & SS#, ITS JUST CRAZY HE DIDN'T EVEN APOLOGIZE FOR BOTHERING ME OR ME WASTING MY TIME CALLING HIM BACK.
These people call EVERY morning at 8AM,but do not leave message as I let my answering machine pick it up.I will order a cease and desist order and I will not only call the Attorney General of the Stae Of Nevada I will also notify the District Attorney of my city for prosecution of these poeple.I will also file a complaint with the FTC if I receive ONE MORE CALL!!
