I have been getting threatening calls from this phone number also. They keep calling my work, so my bf called them and they were very rude to him, and even said [***] your gf. I don't know what to do about this. I never got a pay day loan that I didn't pay back in full. Can anybody help? Should I call the attorney general? The are code 718 is from Brooklyn NY
I received a call from a Ryan O'Connor at my work, who left a nasty "urgent" sounding message that me or my attorney better call him back immediately.
Being that I had received a call from this number before, months ago, and had actually spoken to the same guy, I know this is a scam. I have never ever had a PayDay Loan and right there I knew it was BS. So any threats, and there were many, were fraudulent and scare tactics.
This guy is rude and I want him to stop calling me, especially at my work.
I have been getting these calls also. They show up on caller ID as 10000, same message each time. They were happening about a year ago, I called the Better Business Bureau and reported it. She told me they have not been able to track these people or their main place of office but they have gotten several reports of the same problems. She told me to just tell them next time they called was that the person they were looking for passed away, or I just got a new phone with that number today. What threw me off right away, I asked them to send the paperwork to my address so I knew exactly what they were saying I owed money for. They told me they could email me the information, I told them No, I wanted it sent to my home addres, they actually hung up on me! I knew right there this was a scam. They just started calling my number again, they do get very rude with you if you even raise your voice at them. They wish you good luck when they leave a message and all this other threatning comments. Please don't fall for this. IT IS A SCAM. I will be calling back when I get out of work and giving them a piece of my mind, not that it will do anything, but I plan on telling them the person they are looking for is no longer at that phone number....lets see what happens.
People, please ignore these calls because they are scripted and fradulent. These people are using American names and please report these to Your attorney general's office , federal trade commission and any thing you can think of. These people are harassing good people. A Class Action suit should be filed against the cell phone company that is supplying these guys with these phones to harass people. That is what is going on. Please don't fall for these scams and please make a lot of noise to the news media and anyone we can think of. I hope there is a lawsuit soon. Save your messages for evidence.
The person who called had an indian accent and after the typical scam scenario that the other people had reported. He told my mother that he had seen her with me and that he wanted to f-uck her! Thats when I grabbed the phone and asked who this was and they said they were my father.!? Anyways, is there any way to take legal action again these people???
