Investigation of financial and electronic fraud is a core function of the USSS, having been established by Lincoln hours before his assassination, oddly enough. In post Civil War years, counterfeit currency was a runaway problem and there was no Federal agency able to combat its production. Presidential security was not part of the Service's mandate until the early Twentieth Century.
Every so often the USSS helps to bust an illegal payday lender. I'm not aware of them chasing fake PDL collectors. It can't hurt to put them on the complaint list. I think there is more than a casual connection between the industries.

Somewhat of interest to us here, I found a story from November about the USSS helping to nail a predatory UK payday lender which had paid American hackers to run DDoS attacks on a complaint website and those managed by his competitors. Its big wheel now cleans carpets for a living.

It's still surprising that the poster said they'll report it to the USSS as most people state they'll report to the police, with a smaller percentage reporting to the FBI/FTC/FDCPA, etc.
