Called me a third time. This time I could hear tons of solicitors in the background but the caller didn't speak a word. Some other complaints out on this phone number say it's some elec. company in Ohio wanting your business. One person talked to this caller & the caller wanted personal information. I'm on the do not call list so I'm reporting this caller for the 3rd time for violation. This is also a cell phone number. This can not be a real elec. company then.
I got a call from this number as I screen my calls, they left a message on my answering machine. I immediately called back. The first 2 times, I said hello to them....they hung up. The 3rd time someone answered and I said, Someone is calling me frrom this number & I want to know who it is? A girl said, Are you the person who handles the DP&L bill? I said, No...I don't have DP&L. She said, Oh! I said please take my name & number off of your calling list please! She said, I will put you on our "Do not call list" right now and you won't be getting anymore calls. I said, Thank You
My answer machine picked this call up. There was a beep from their end, then a computerized voice says "good-bye". This makes 5 times in 3 months this cell phone caller has called.
I received a phone call from this number this morning. Had received a few other calls during the past 2 weeks and they left no message, so I decided to pick up to find out who it was. A guy wanted my Duke Energy info and I refused to give it. He was very insistent, telling me how my bill could be lowered if I gave him my info.
Told him I didn't ask for this call therefore, if it was that important to put it in writing and mail it to me and I hung up. I called Duke Energy and told a person there, she said nothing could be done on their end to call the Public Utilities Commission (880-686-7826) so I did. Person there ask me if I ask Duke to take me off their list. Did Duke give them my phone number to contact me??? hmm I told her I had told Duke I was already on the Do Not Call List so why are they giving out customers numbers??? Nice (yet sad) to see others had same problem. Lesson learned.. to use my caller ID and stop picking up unknown callers!!
