I'm getting multiple calls a day, there is no connection problem anywhere, and if there is, as several have mentioned, I will call them. This sounds way too much like a phishing attempt. I mean, come on, I have enough trouble getting Comcast to work on a problem when I do have one and have called them, am I to believe that they are paying people to call out to customers who *might* have a problem? Besides, last time Comcast was here, a few months ago, they rewired everything from the box at the curb in.
This was a legitimate call from Comcast about setting up a service appointment for some kind of wiring issue in my house. I didn't trust the number that was calling at first, so I called Comcast directly and they confirmed it was them.
Received a call last week and again today. He claimed to be from Comcast, his name was Nigel (foreign accent), and said this call is being recorded. They wanted to do a diagnostic test on my system and said it would only take a few minutes. I said I didn't have time, and they got pushy about it, so I hung up.
The number 804-585-3523 is from an out source with Comcast. They do preventive work such as checking lines, checking signals. I called Comcast to verify that number and they told me it is one of their sub contractors but you as the customer are not required to let them check your line or signal.
