These people were calling my home almost daily and now they somehow acquired my cell number. I've attempted to be removed from their call last repeatedly .... even going so far as pretending to have a lot of outstanding credit card debt so that I might speak with a supervisor. Nothing works.
I keep a used Visa gift card on my desk. I go through the exercise with them giving them a fake name, but I give them everything on the card. The card only has $.05 left on it. After they tell me this I get very upset and tell them that as of yesterday I had $5,000 still available. I then accuse them of taking that money and then listen to them squirm. I get a good laugh out of it.
The other thing I do is if it is a woman I suggest to her that she probably has some questions for me. "Yes" they always say. Great, I'll trade you question for question....do we have a deal? "Yes", good, what is your first question. After they ask, I always make up an answer, then I get to go. My first question is, "What color is your panties?". I keep this up until they can't handle my questions, because I get very graphic.
Take their time, have fun instead of getting upset because they are not going to go away.
I received a call just now, around 1:55 p.m. I was doing something and had to stop. My cell provider does not give any free minutes. This is costing me money. I do not answer unknown numbers. I have had other hang-up calls from various numbers, probably all the same company. What good is the DO NOT CALL list, it hasn't made them stop. Something has to be done.
