I received a call from this number minutes after I made a pymt for a storage shed rental. Thought is was suspicious so I called Woodforest direct. It was a legit call, verifying that I authorize the payment. It was a small amount compared to Walmart debits so maybe there is lots of fraud coming from the state this transaction generated from.
This is Woodforest National Bank credit card fraud division. They called me this morning and I called number back, then called Woodforest to make sure it was a legit number. It is. They were calling about a transaction on my account this morning.
FYI - When I called the number back, I waited until the call was answered and said it was Woodforest National Bank, then I hung up (I did not speak to anyone when I called back as I do not give out any of my information to unknown numbers), and called Woodforest and confirmed the number was legitimate.
Woodforest fraud division. You don't have to call this direct line back. Be sure to call your bank because there is probably a good reason they called. Someone cloned my card and tried to use it.
