I received a call from this number minutes after I made a pymt for a storage shed rental. Thought is was suspicious so I called Woodforest direct. It was a legit call, verifying that I authorize the payment. It was a small amount compared to Walmart debits so maybe there is lots of fraud coming from the state this transaction generated from.
I got a call from this number immediately after doing Twitter Ads. It really is Woodforest National Bank Fraud dept. Twitter verified my card was good by charging $1 and then turning around and reversing the card and it's a first time charge from Twitter on my account so they wanted to verify. The number is legit.
This is a legitimate call from Woodforest Bank fraud system. I have been traveling and used my card multiple times for large purchases out of town so they blocked it temporarily. The call back number they leave is 866-962-3728. I called back and they lifted the block immediately, no problem.
Definitely Woodforest Bank fraud division. Caught charges that happened tonight and called to alert me. The call back # is different .. make sure you listen to the voice mail.
This is legit. It's Woodforest Bank. We made some purchases yesterday, that were out of our normal pattern and they just wanted to make sure that the card was not stolen. I'm glad they do this.
