Just got a call from this number. Person had a very heavy accent, tried to convince me my computer was sending out error messages. I asked several questions as to who it was sending messages to and she just kept answering with the same thing about error messages from my computer...I must have confused her because she couldn't get past my questions and she hung up. She used words like "technical support, microsoft, windows 7,(I have Vista), ect." Them people must think Americans are stupid!
917-200-9423 keeps calling my phone with a stupid little Asian chick......Telling me that my computer is sending error messages....Yeah right...My computer doesn't even have a battery in it right now...
Indian guy saying he works for Microsoft....
wanted me to open the command prompt (old DOS interface)
He then had me type assoc.... and he read off a CLSID on my computer... and it was right --- I later checked all 4 computers in my house, and the CLSID was the same for all
He then had me open the C:windows\inf folder and acted supprised that there were more than 10 items in there
Next he wanted me to run a webpage from the windows-r key at which point I hung up on him....
Long story short, he's a scammer and i managed to keep him on the line for over 20 minutes
