It was a recording saying that my Bank of America debit card had been deactivated and to stay on the line for a representative. I don't use BOA, so I hung up.
Some clown with a thick Indian Accent called at 6:44am and said that my computer was running slow and he could help. Yeah right. Maybe he should work on correcting his clock first as it was still dark outside.
They (an automated voice) called my husband's mobile telephone this evening with a caller Id showing New York. The voice said there was a "serious problem with our debit card." When they asked him to type in his 16 digit code, he hung up. I called back and the circuits are busy supposedly. SCAM!! Our debit cards are just fine...
They called my cell ... Same bit about my debit card being locked, press 1 to be connected with security department ... I hung up ... don't use debit cards! Thank you for confirming my gut reaction.
