It was a recording saying that my Bank of America debit card had been deactivated and to stay on the line for a representative. I don't use BOA, so I hung up.
Have called at least 5 or more times a day and have left messages that either i or my attorney must get ahold of them immediately or i faced prison time. Have left messages that were verbally abusive and unprofessional. Called me at 6:00 am today and when I asked if they realized it was 6am she yelled that she did. I hung up.
Called at 8 AM local time, asked for me by name - very broken English that I could hardly understand - said their server indicated my PC had been hacked. Lots of background noise like a call center. Gave me a bogus PC serial number and when I asked who he was with, he said "Los Angeles". Told me go to my PC and sign on. I said no and he asked "why not?". Again I said no and again he asked "Why not?" I hung up. I believe it was a scam.
These people called even though I am on the do not call list
The caller ( who barely spoke English or something close) Suggested that he was from Cyber Security... We need to stop this annoying crap
917-522-8863 from New York. Caller with thick accent (Indian?) said he was "calling about your computer, technical support". I told him I didn't have a computer and he said "Sorry to bother you ma'am."
