I called that number back and yhe scary thing is she had all me information lol. But! I know for a fact i never have used a payday loan!! She drooped 2 names that I knew and one was a co-worker. I would only use her as a job reference! Don't fall for this crap
If it were real, the caller would mail you proof of the debt. Phone calls, faxes, and emails are not legitimate methods of debt notification. If it were real, the caller would not be threatening arrest because you cannot be arrested for being in debt. If you speak to them again (I recommend against it) demand they mail you proof of the debt. If they claim they already did, will do so after you pay, or some other excuse to not follow the law, hang up on them.
Just got a call from this number, they had my name, a reference, and an address from 2012. Told me they could not give me information because a correspondence was already sent out and my case is going to county court. Well I am a cop and although thats pretty specific information with my reference and all, someone cannot be taken to court for something civil without being personally served. Aside from that now that I am at work and can announce myself as officer... no one wants to answer the phone :(.
I got a call from this number and a woman identifying herself as Molly Wolinksky. She said I may be involved in a fraud case involving my name, phone number and s.s.
She left a call back number for me to call. 937-249-0183 and the number she called from was 440-290-5101.
Most of the time fraudulent individuals leave what I call magic hidden words, such as: may be.
Just received the same call from Molly Wolinsky. I didn't answer but listened to the voice mail. I never give out my cell number to anyone so either the previous owner of this number had financial problems or I am being called by various scammers using different names. I would love to see them in court.
