Obviously looking for my sister because they call our house all the time. Other agencies also. Don't get upset with this crap. Get caller ID and when you see it simply lift the receiver and put it down gently because remember it's your phone and you paid for it. Don't damage it! Or answer it and start asking them questions before they can ask you them. They really get POed about that. Have fun people! Be happy!
I got a phone call and voicemail from a man who seemed purposely slur his name and agency he was from. He told me to call back about property I own ( I don't own any or have ever), and he didn't leave a account or reference number.
My assumption is that they are trying to contact me on debt that I don't owe. I check my credit score every week and know if I have unpaid bills or if a collection company is trying to find me.
I've gotten several phone calls from The JDI Group. Mostly I let them go to voicemail and they are automated messages. Today an actual person left a message.........for my ex-husband I have had no contact with for over 12 years. So I called the guy back. Claimed his name to be Phillip Reynolds and the number he left was 951-847-3970 and his ext. was 206. I called the number back and the guy who answered said I had reached "corporate offices" and I asked for ext. 206. He asked me what my number was and I said, I wasn't given one. Not sure if he was asking for my phone number or case number. But apparently he knew where I was calling from because he then said he was looking for [insert ex husband name] and was he here. I said he called the wrong number. He said that my ex had given him my number as a way to contact him (which is a blatant lie) and that he had some important legal info to give him. I told him I hadn't talked to or seen my ex in over 12 years. So he said he would take my number off their list. We'll see.
I work in the collection business (so to speak). I have worked with foreclosures for over 16 years. If anyone is calling about property, it is not about real estate. Banks do not try to collect past due mortgage payments over the phone once they send a loan to foreclosure and foreclosure attys only contact homeowners via mail unless the homeowner contact them on the phone and requests a call back with the info they asked for. So if this company is calling about property, it may be on something you bought with unsecured credit and then defaulted on. It also may be on debt that is so old that they really can't legally make you pay it.

Threatining lawsuit and that a sheriff would show up to arrest . Could'nt give me the name of who was suing or the court doc # . Scam Scam Scam . The man got real upset when I asked for documentation. When he started yelling at me I told him he just broke the law , he started screaming at me that I had a big mouth ! LOL
