This number called the office I'm gatekeeper for but hung up mid-ring, as I was reaching for the handset. No actual idea what they wanted but if it's what the other posters reported, they're outta luck. We never give out that type of information. The CID only said Pompano BCH FL
Received a call at my office phone from 954-369-0565. A woman with Indian accent said a name and asked me if that person works here. I said I never heard of this name. She abruptly hang up. This made me connect my co-worker's experience with "IRS" scam calls. The callers had Indian accent and knew his name and where he works. They claimed themselves as IRS collection agent. I wonder if this is a way they fished their future victims' information.
Received a call from Advise IT from a guy who had a foreign accent with background noise which Anonymous said above. He asked if he could speak with someone who was no longer with the company. He proceeded to ask to update the information that we send. He asked who are new accounting specialist was, I replied with first name only, in turn he asked what the last name is. I interrupted him and asked how often this information gets updated and who updates it? He said our company updates it yearly. Then I said if our company updates it yearly, you would know that so and so has not been here for 4 years and you would know who, this is where he hung up. RUDE! lol.
woman with a thick accent called saying she was from Advice IT and the number came u pas being from Florida, the background was very loud and she kept asking for a person, and using the wrong job title for that person, a title that person has never had, and when i asked why she was calling she just repeated over and over, "thank you ma'am" "okay thank you". i stayed on the line with her until she hung up, and when i called the number back it just gave a busy tone back.
This number called the office this afternoon. Due to the caller's extremely thick accent and the fact the call kept cutting in and out, I couldn't identify the caller's name or alleged company. At one point, the caller asked if this was the office for (the name of my boss). I didn't want to say "Yes" due to the latest wave of scams, so I asked what this was about. All I could make out in response was the word "verification." I told caller, "I'm sorry, but we don't do that over the phone. There's too many scammers." The caller then hung up.
Company is Advice IT, which is an automatic spam caller. That the female caller is just super annoying and have zero patience. They hung up while I transferring their call. Oh well....
