This number called the office I'm gatekeeper for but hung up mid-ring, as I was reaching for the handset. No actual idea what they wanted but if it's what the other posters reported, they're outta luck. We never give out that type of information. The CID only said Pompano BCH FL
Also received call from a female with an Indian accent. I couldn't understand the name of the company she said she was calling. She asked for me by name and wanted to know if I was available. I said no and hung up the phone. This is the second day in a row this person has called. I wrote down the phone number and will not answer this call again. A recent report in my area said that people are trying to get you to say YES on the phone so they can use that as proof they talked to you and you had agreed to whatever it is they are trying to do. Do not answer YES to anything on the phone!!!
Just got a similar call from Advise IT guy at 954-369-0565. I couldn't understand his heavy accent, and should have hung up immediately. Unfortunately, I said "yes" when he asked for me by name. Ugh. Now I'll have to watch my credit cards.
Man had a very thick accent, said he was Kevin calling from Advise IT. He asked for a company that isn't us, and I told him he had the wrong number. When he asked what company this is, I told him again he had the wrong number, said goodbye and hung up. Lots of noise in the background so I assume he's in a call center of some sort. I suspect he's phishing.
