They keep trying to get through to us, but it never works. My guess is they're using a robo-dialer, and said dialer does not like the 'Out of Service (SIT) tone sequence our Asterisk system sends (same thing the old 'Telezapper' did) when it first answers. The dialer's probably hanging up on its own.
Some Googling turned up a possible lead on these slime-suckers at this link.

I must have received 50 calls from this number over the last month. They ask if I am a specific company. I have told them repeated I am not the business they mention. Many times I answer I get dead air - response to my Hello's.

They keep calling. A few days ago, some guy told me he had dialed the wrong number. Today, a Juliet Kim called and told me I had some tech support that was expiring. (By the way, I own a computer tech support business.) I asked her three times to add me to her Do Not Call list. She did not respond, although I could hear other telemarketers in the background.
I am assuming since she told me all I have to do is 'confirm' my information, that I will be subject to cramming. This is not a good business practice.
I have been getting a call from this number every morning around 10 AM (Mountain Time) without fail for some time. Caller ID always reads "Tech Support" and those times I've answered it (trying to get someone to remove me from their list) there is no one there.
