My husband and I both just recieved calls from these people today asking about a neighbor of ours. Said we was an associate of his. She kepts saying that his mailbox was full and all she had was a p.o. box for him, I didn't give her any info what so ever.
Called but I did not answer because I didn't recognize the number. The lady left a message for my husband by name, asking about a person we both know, saying our number was a contact number for him--not even possible! I have since blocked this number from our phone.
Guess I should have tried to block the number before I said I did. Turns out it is not a valid number so therefore cannot be blocked by my phone service. Typical.
Called me to collect a debt. Turned out they had the right first and last name, but wrong middle initial. Then they asked me if he was my brother - how many families you know that name two brothers with the same name (except maybe for Michael Jackson)? Funny thing is the most simple online research would show they got someone in Los Angeles when they wanted someone in Washington. For $1 I could easily get the number for the right guy. They're not too bright I'm afraid.
