A woman from this place called me this morning at 8:27. She called me by my first name, though my phone number is not listed under my name. It's listed as my son's name. She wanted to know if I had anything to do with (and said my neighbor's name). I asked why she was calling me for someone else. She said she wanted to contact him and I was listed as his neighbor. I said I didn't want to do anything to help him. She said okay and hung up. I noticed that on Caller I.D. this number was shown as United Collecti which I took to be a collection agency. I don't usually answer if I don't recognize the number, but I answered quickly because I was expecting a call from someone else and wasn't paying attention. I detest these calls. If they call me again, I plan to tell them not to call me again, or I will turn the matter over to my state AGs office. That usually discourages them from repeat calls.
They are calling my family members for a debt in my husbands name that doesn't even exist! These harrassing phone calls need to stop! I am contacting FTC, BBB (which they already have an F rating) and my states AG office. This is absurd!! I have also read up about the company and they are known for scams and harrassment. Someone needs to put an end to this company!
Received two calls from this number in the past couple of weeks. They are trying to locate my
ex-husband. We have been divorced 17 years and he never had my current phone number.
I asked what this is regarding, to which she replied "it is personal". Then she asked me if I ever
talked with my former spouse. Obviously it is ok for her to ask me personal questions, but she will
not reveal why she is calling me trying to locate him!!! I told her the street and city where he lives.
If she wants his number, she can use directory assistance !!! If she calls again, I will report as
harrassment call.
