Who are these people? They claimed that they are calling from United States Bureau of Collections...and keep transfer from one person to another person and saying that "my manager..?" Keep asking and verifying my wife and my son information about the debts. I'm a newly-wed, no kids yet....what's is going on? How these people get our cell, home, and work phone numbers. Must be from some companies that selling the database...
These people are scam artists. Dealt w/ them once before unknowingly, found out who they really were, and they didnt get a red cent from me. They will LIE, and scam you out of money. They even know some accurate info on you sometimes, and thats how they begin to con you into believing they are legit. Ask them to tell you where the debt came from, and ask them to mail you a detailed debt validation letter. I almost guarantee they will claim to have sent it, and you will never get it. Ask them for a proper address, and I almost guarantee they will give you some p.o. box., and not an actual address. They even had my address, and called about an account I actually used to have. Scammers....run the other way.
They called looking for my ex-husband who has not been at my phone # for over 15 years when he skipped off with his mistress to North Carolina. Did I have a number I could reach him at? Excuse me, if I had a number, I would have sent a detective after him and sued him for the money he never paid me as court ordered on our divorce. Even if I had # for him I would not have provided it. If they call again will report to FL attorney general's office. Already filed complaint with State of WI.
