Just received a call from the same phone number. I didn't answer the phone because I was on another call but decided to google the phone number because I've been getting calls from a TN number that is trying to scam credit card information from me. Looks like this is another office that is being used..
They start off using a Dialer system to make the calls. That's why there is silence when you first answer the phone. Then it connects to a representative who will hang up on you if you start asking questions and/or state for them to remove you name off their call list. I've reported the TN number but continue to receive weekly phone calls. I'm now going to my cell phone provider to block both phone numbers. What a pain!
I just got a call. The message was fast but sounded official. It gave me the impression they where annoyed that I didn't respond to countless mail they sent me and that I was going to loose my 6% interest rate. I didn't pay that much attention since I was trying to figure out who was sending this automated message. As it is, I don't use credit cards so I knew it was bogus. I did another reverse directory inquiry and the number is from Gresham Oregon. Sounds bogus to me.
