Just received a call from the same phone number. I didn't answer the phone because I was on another call but decided to google the phone number because I've been getting calls from a TN number that is trying to scam credit card information from me. Looks like this is another office that is being used..
They start off using a Dialer system to make the calls. That's why there is silence when you first answer the phone. Then it connects to a representative who will hang up on you if you start asking questions and/or state for them to remove you name off their call list. I've reported the TN number but continue to receive weekly phone calls. I'm now going to my cell phone provider to block both phone numbers. What a pain!
I am really getting annoyed that the do not call list is of no use. I do not answer unknown numbers on my cell and certainly when I know no one from that area code. When I get these I KNOW it is a telemarket call.
Same story as everyone else here, except I was able to call back and got an automated message saying "Press 1 to remove yourself from our list." We'll see if it actually did anything, but at this point it can't hurt. In any case, I'm filing a complaint with donotcall.gov, which is run by the FTC. I really want to shut these a-holes down.
I am Already on the Federal DO NOT CALL Registry, but these Dirty A-Holes Don't Believe in Following the Law!! That Alone, gives you a good indication, of what they are All About! I listed them in my phone, with a name similar to the one above. I did a Stupid thing though, I called them back
& got the answering machine, of course. Then to complete my Stupidity, I followed the phone prompts, & Pressed 1, adding my number to their personal do not call list, Supposedly. I should have just Hung Up, pressing Nothing. I'm already on The REAL DNC List. I'll be Happy if they DON'T CHARGE ME, for Being An Idiot!
