Just received a call from the same phone number. I didn't answer the phone because I was on another call but decided to google the phone number because I've been getting calls from a TN number that is trying to scam credit card information from me. Looks like this is another office that is being used..
They start off using a Dialer system to make the calls. That's why there is silence when you first answer the phone. Then it connects to a representative who will hang up on you if you start asking questions and/or state for them to remove you name off their call list. I've reported the TN number but continue to receive weekly phone calls. I'm now going to my cell phone provider to block both phone numbers. What a pain!
The message claims they have been trying to reach me and it's my final attempt to lower credit card interest rate. Sounds bogus. Number is from Gresham Oregon.
It's a company that claims that this is the last attempt to lower your credit card intrest rates.They call me atleast 3 times a week even after I told them to not contact me anymore.I get calls from different area code and different states. They keep calling, funny thing is ...I don't have ANY credit cards!
Have received several calls from this number at home and on my cell phone (wasting my minutes). Scam is that "you qualify for reduced rate on your credit card" and that this is the last attempt to lower your credit card interest rates. Which is funny, because they call me at least once a day on one of my phone lines. When I asked which card are you calling about, they said "all of them" & wanted specfic credit card info; when I started to tell them that I was listed with "do not call", they hung up on me. The next time they called, right away I asked what was the person's name & the name of their company, they hung up on me. The 3rd time they called, the first thing I said was "this number is listed..." intending to tell them that I was on the do not call registry, but before I could get it all out they hung up on me. When I called back, a message said if I wanted to be put on their do not call list, to push 1, which I did. That was 2 weeks ago. Didn't help - they are still calling.
