Display showed "Greene Hunter". Let it roll to voicemail - no message left. "Greene Hunter" (green, as in money perhaps?) sounds like either a collection agency or a scammer.

JetAmes and Angel2 are correct about getting the phones that block numbers. Comcast allows us to block some also, but it would be nice if either would let you wildcard block by putting in 8** to block any numbers such as 866, 877, 800 that are calling without using up all 30 (or 12 with Comcast). What I am doing now is giving them an opportunity to leave a message if I am not sure who is calling. If I am sure it is not someone I want to talk to I push auto answer on my all-in-one fax printer and let them think they have a person on the line only to get the fax squeal when they pick up the phone on their end. It usually only takes one or two calls from them doing this before they quit. Though the employees will probably go out on disability for hearing loss and we will pay for them in the end, I kind of like getting back at them for once.
They call every day and every day I ask to be removed but they are rude people and hang up the phone.
I do not know about any of you others, but I am on the no call list. I guess it is time to report them.
Card Member Services are truly predatory. They call often and hang up if asked to be removed. They need to be tracked down and fined. Why do we have a DO NOT CALL list if there is no action if they ignore it?
I'm sure someone can shed light on options to make them STOP!!!
This is a call I get frequently - the message says "this is your final courtesy call blah blah blah lower your credit card interest rate blah blah blah before we close your file. Press 1 to talk to a service representative." Every time I press 1 and ask the rep how many of these final calls I'm going to get before they really quit calling and ask them to get my number off their list they hang up on me. When I call the number back I get a recording which tells me to "press 1" to be put on their do not call list. And yet they keep calling.
