Who called from 9712201771

I get a call from this number (just says "Gresham OR" on my Caller ID) at least once a week.  My husband has been job hunting in Oregon for the past year or so and the first time I saw this on Caller ID I answered it.  They asked for him, but would not leave a message; just said they'd call back.  Well, I won't answer it anymore because I've checked it against this forum and I see they are annoying other people as well.

When you reach a live person, all you have to say is: "This is the office of the attorney general. I would like to talk to your office manager"   You'll get taken off their list NOW, and probably any other telemarketer that ignores the do not call list.

Same jerks with the lower your credit card interest.  

We at went to the Panasonic telephone system (w/5 handsets) that blocks just 30 numbers.   Took probably 6 mos. to fill up those blocked numbers.

The phone rings once then  goes to busy, then hangs up.   I noticed after a few weeks the calls stop from certain numbers.  

The calling numbers show up on our TV set and computers, so we do not have to go to the phone to see who is calling.

Thinking about going to Radio Shack or Fry's to buy a call blocking device with moresblocked numbers available.

Myself, as well as my mom, received a call from this number on 11-12 and 11-15 (around noon on 11-12 and at 5:45 yesterday, 11-15); the caller ID says "phone."  I tried calling the number, out of curiosity, to see what would happen and I get the standard message stating that the number isn't in service...
