These people are trying to sell "free alarm systems". They give the option to press 2 to no longer receive calls, but it only stops the calls for a wk. or so. I attempted to nicely ask them to stop and they hung up on me. SCAM.
To Jetames: YOU ARE ABSOLUTELY RIGHT! IT'S THE ONLY THING THAT WORKS. I haven't found the phones as cheap as $40-$60, paid somewhere around $80----but it has been worth every penny and more! The only drawback is that the phones have a number block capacity of 30 numbers. So sometimes I have to go in and delete a few to load new numbers. IT IS STILL THE BEST ANSWER AROUND!!! On your facts # 1-6, again you are right on target!

Get a Uniden or Panasconic phone system---it's the only thing that keeps your sanity. Only other thing you have to have is the caller ID from the local phone service that you have, again, worth every penny!!
