Display showed "Greene Hunter". Let it roll to voicemail - no message left. "Greene Hunter" (green, as in money perhaps?) sounds like either a collection agency or a scammer.
These guys are phishers/scammers - talking about how your credit card 'file' is about to be closed. They are just trying to extract your credit card number out of you.
I have spoken to one of their representatives several times and asked to be removed from their list, pointing out that I am registered on the National Do Not Call list. This often results in them hanging up on me, or just patronizing me. They still call me every 2-3 days and have been doing so for nearly a year.
It is a complete mystery to me why the FBI hasn't shut them down.

Another person described a call from this number as:
the message says "this is your final courtesy call blah blah blah lower your credit card interest rate blah blah blah before we close your file. Press 1 to talk to a service representative." Every time I press 1 and ask the rep how many of these final calls I'm going to get before they really quit calling and ask them to get my number off their list they hang up on me.

The recorded call I received was identical. After pressing "1" to get a live agent someone answered but did not identify himself. In answer to my first question was "what is your company name" he hung up. Previously received a similar call from 503-457-1836 so it is probably the same scam.
The only problem with purchasing a phone that has blocking capability is you are limited in the quantity of numbers you can block. On my phone, Panasonic KX-TG9331T I have a limit of 20. That added to the 10 I can block with my telephone service provider I still cannot block them all. At this time I have used all but one slot of my blocking capability. Thirty is better than none but I would like to have greater capability.
I have forty numbers in my telemarketer call log and another twenty that others have reported similar problems. Obviously with my thirty limit I can't get them all.
Same experience here as everyone else. Calling me several times daily! I finally pressed "1" today to speak with a rep. She laughed in my face when I asked to remove my number from their call list and hung up. Nice! I then called the number, but there is no way to talk to a live person. If I ever find out where and who they are I am going to make sure they never harrass another person. Digging for info now. They better pray I don't find out!!!
