I just got the same call 12;30 in the afternoon. It's really annoying. Especially when you have to reset your answering machine...That's why I do not give my number out but these people probably dial every number in the book!!
I get the same annoying calls!! I missed 2 calls from the same number in the past two days. I also cancelled my Globe subscription... they won't leave me alone!
I also stopped delivery of my local newspaper, the Palm Beach Post, and then switched to a cheaper local newspaper. I think someone else said that the New York Post was calling them many times about buying a subscription...so maybe the phone calls are coming from a newspaper syndicate.
I just got called by them, and the guy on the phone seemed to talk in a mocking tone and asked if my parents were home. I said yes and kept asking who it was, no answer but I could hear breathing. I hung up and tried calling back a few times, but it was busy. Relieved to find this website and that it's only a telemarketer.
