yep says u.s bank on caller i.d, i have been working my [***] of on the computer to find a home for a bank or company associated with that number in bayonne new jersey. no luck, if anyone can get one se we can all fill federal commnications complaints that will stop this crap right now.
I got a call from them this morning. When I answered there was no response. When I called back (2X), I got a message saying "all circuits are busy. Pease try your call later." Thanks to all who researched this to find out more about them.
I have not answered any of the calls, but called US Bank and was told that this is not one of their departments. When I went into my phone to block this number, the Missed Call list listed it as 716-932-1348! So watch for that number as well.
Supposed Credit Card offer. Very slick talker - I almost believed it was U S Bank. I never give out information on phone unless I initiate the call to a legitimate business and I ended the call when he said he needed some information. He said I received the offer in the mail several weeks ago but I didn't remember. He said I was a valued customer of US Bank. When I told him I had ended my relationship with US Bank some time ago it threw him a little but he recovered. So if you want to avoid being scammed, never discuss personal information with anyone who calls you; only when you initiate a call to a known business.
I just got a call from this number and I answered because we have a loan with US Bank. I have been very unhappy with the loan and my husband has called them several times to discuss it. I answered it thinking that was the reason for the call. The female on the other end asked for my husband. Thinking it was a legit call, I told her I would give her his cell number, she refused and said she would call back later.
Later, I decided to come here and found disturbing info. Thank goodness she did not take his cell number. If they call again, I will have this number saved and the ringer set to 'will not ring'.
Now that I think about it, the female did not state her name nor the company she worked for. I am not sure if that is protocol even for legit companies to do so to the person who answers the phone or if they would only identify themselves if they got who they wanted on the line. I would have thought that she would have at least left a message with me.
