OMG....i remember it was a couple of years ago ...i ordered some dang acai berry and colon cleanse but i cancelled the order due to the fact it was going to charge the card each month without permission even if i didnt want to order anymore ...i just wanted to try it..not get it debt with it....im going to call that number today to get removed from the list...but i promise this...if i see any recent charges....ima let you guys know..b/c im p****ed right know
Same scenario...no one there when you answer, then after several seconds they hang up. I also got tied up in that Acai Berry promo last year and it took some time to erradicate them from billing me for products not ordered. Calls came on my land line not cell and never leaves a message if we don't answer the phone. What kind of scam is this anyway?
I just received a call on my cell from this number - nobody there. I called them back and got a message saying that I should have my ordering information handy. I was then informed that I am caller #1 waiting. Then a woman came on a said "Thank you for calling. What is your phone number?" Then I was disconnected.
I have been getting calls from this number and they keep calling back if I don't pick up. I registered for the Do Not Call and would like this one stopped.
First call about a week ago - wife called the number back, got a person who identified as "Operator such & such", who also noted (as others have said) that they represent several companies. Couldn't say who would have called us, but wanted our phone number to try and verify which of these companies would have been trying to contact us. Noted that typically, they are calling to "confirm orders". Wouldn't give the names of any companies involved otherwise.
Second call a few minutes ago - didn't answer, and got about 2 seconds of noise on the answering machine.
Sounds like a telemarketing firm working for several clients (?), and they clearly appear to be ignoring the "do not call" registry from our (and others) experiences.
