Same as others. Gentleman with thick accent wanted me to go to my computer because someone had tried to hack into it and compromise my identity. When questioned how he got my cell phone number and did not believe if there was a real problem. And asked why I would be receiving a phone call rather than an email or notice in the mail he hung up.
A scam call, claims that they were calling from Microsoft and my computer was sending them warning messages and wanted to access my computer. A search shows this number to be from Jersey City, New Jersey, a mobile number using Cellco Partnership dba Verizon Wireless - NJ and has a spam score of 97%. When you call the number back, a recording says this number has been changed, disconnected or no longer in service.
