True, nonprofits are exempt. But I've worked for a company that made calls on behalf of nonprofits, and they were a for-profit business. So how does the law treat those? Does the for-profit get a loophole because of the organization on whose behalf they're working, or are they still treated the same as they would if they were selling aluminum siding?
Everyone Dial America calls is on a do not call list! Supposedly they are allowed to call you UNTILL YOU SAY...PUT ME ON YOUR DO NOT CALL LIST NOW! Its all recorded and then and only then will they stop calling you!
Have received a call from this number over the past several days. Never answer it as have no idea who it is from. One time a partial message was left on my answering machine. Sounded like someone yelling at someone else and could hear a lot of abnormal noises in the background like papers rustling and glasses clinking. I ran a check on the internet and this Dial America is noted as a scam. If you receive a call from this number ignore it as it could be dangerous.
