I was never called but had a charge on my cc 12/15.I had not used this card for years. Just happened to be the same day I tried to download a Thomas Kinkade Christmas screensaver. My computer starting acting nuts, downloaded a spyware tool. Found 133 infected files. Removed screen saver and infected files. Didn't think anymore about it until I got a statement from the cc company.Called my cc and filed "Fraudulant Charges", not disputed charges. Cancelled card.
i too, had a fradulent charge on my credit card on 1/25. I haven't used my card in months. Cancelled my credit card to prevent anymore unauthorized charges.
I also had a charge to my Debit card on 1/28 from Byersebooks for $4.95. I so far dont see any connection here I was wondering if by any chance other Fraud Victims are Bank Of America. On another site redtape.msnbc.com there have been several reports of ebook fraud that they belive is related to Equifax.I was a member of Equifax last year and did use this card to do the monthly monitoring and cancelled my membership with them last July. I have reported it as fraud to BOA and cancelled my debit card.
I also, received a fradulent charge of $4.95 from this company. Although I don't use BOA, I do have the Equifax Silver credit monitor service which charges my card automatically (it's a chase card). Perhaps there was a leak of information from Equifax. Anyone else use Equifax?
