Yes, this is one of MANY phone numbers WaMu uses (they call from WA, AZ, GA, NV & the list goes on). The part that is odd is that they don't respond when I have had the ability to answer any their calls. All because they will not consider payment arrangements we have attempted to make with them. I am going to just start turning my ringer off.
calling to my cell and I don't have an account with them anymore. Had a mortgage for a house that has been sold for almost 2 years that was paid in full. My cell is also on the government do not call list
WAMU is outsourcing to India, they use various false caller ID's, which is illegal under Federal Law. Many times, they just ID a State name, some times they use a Company name (other than their own) In one case I cought them using the name of a legitimate company in Illinois, calling from a Colorado area code.
I have a card with them and it seems like they want me to pay them twice/month! I make a payment and the second payment is due in a couple of weeks. I don't see that one coming until they continue to call me at work and at home from 8am to 9pm. When I answer their phone calls, I don't get a response. APR is ridiculous! I want to get rid of them as quickly as possible!!!
They call me atleast 8-10 timees a day. Usually get the last call at 8:59pm est. First one is at 8:00am on the dot. I answered the first few times and got nothing. No one ever said a word. I have just quit answering. They have gone so far as to call my husbands ex-wife and her husband trying to reach me. I am considering leagal action against them and WAMU. After all I am an attorney.
Call came in at 5:17AM Pacific Time on 12/23. Not the first time WaMu has called before 6AM, let alone 8AM. According to Fair Debt Collection Act it's illegal to call outside of 8AM-9PM local time of the person being called. Am keeping a record of each call & filing complaints.
