I've gotton this # twice (2 days in a row), spoke with someone both times (both were Asian Indian accents). First, they both asked for my husband then when I told them he wasn't available, they "extended" the opportunity to me. They both worked for Google. They wanted to give me an opportunity to have an awesome job with Google. All I have to do is go to a website (he was going to give me the url)and enter a pin (once again that he would give me), then I could have all the information I needed to start this great paying job! In order to get me started I would just have to give $1.97. "Surely you can afford that." Well, who can't afford that!! Then they want to know if you are interested and if you are they can take the payment with an American Express, MasterCard, Visa or Debit Card. The first time I spoke with someone, I told him (3 times) I didn't give that information out over the phone. Each time he had a different reason why it would be ok: they don't give out the information, it's only $1.97 and (my favorite) as soon as everything is put in and the $ goes through it automatically erases all the information so no one can get it. The second call I told the man I was house sitting and I didn't have any credit cards or a debit card. I offered to send a check (to see what the response would be) and asked for an address. "Oh, we can't take that kind of payment, we're not set up for that. Only electronic payments." Once he realized I was not of use he asked if there was anyone else in the house who had those means of payment. I did get a toll free phone # from the second caller to call back if I had any problems accessing the site. He even had a very common American name "David Thomas" and an employee #. Which I wrote down. ALWAYS WRITE DOWN NAMES, EMPLOYEE #'S, PLACE OF EMPLOYMENT, PHONE #'S, ANYTHING THEY GIVE YOU THAT WILL HELP TRACK THEM DOWN. Once I was off I called the # he gave me and it was an immediate recording of a young girl's voice that said "Thank you for calling Profit Studio Learning...we are not currently open...please call back during the normal business hours..." I thought that was interesting because I was just talking to one of the
"employees." Boy are they dedicated, working before the company even opens. Please do not fall for these calls, IMMEDIATELY call the FBI with all the information you have because it's a scam. If you do get a call, get all information you can get, they will tell you they're giving you all the information you need in order to feel safe with giving out your information so you can "trace" them if you need to. OH MY GOSH.....As I am typing this they are calling again, that makes twice in one day, so far!!!! Different person (obviously) all the same information. I spoke with the FBI and the more calls they get about this scam, the quicker they will be able to do something about it. CALL THE FBI, IT'S A SCAM!!!!! Have a blessed day.
