Got a call from this number, a computer generated voice telling me my "debit card had been inactivated". That's not how my bank works, but I was curious, so pressed 1 to continue. They actually prompted me to "Enter my 16 digit debit card code" to reactivate my account. TOTAL NONSENSE. At that point I hung up and added that number to my "Bad Number" list on my phone so I won't answer again.
called and said they were a credit card company and that my card was deactivated - it was left as a message, and got cut off, so I have no other details...
Called my cell and said my debit card has been deactivated. I gave them all my debit card info to make sure it would be reactivated. No, I'm kidding. I hung up. I should know better than to answer calls from numbers that I don't recognize.
Call received yesterday. Same scam message as others noted above. Supposedly our debit card deactivated and asked to enter number to reactivate. Hung Up. Called them back. No company name when they answered and impossible to get to throught to their "customer service".
Got a call from (201) 283-9610, saying my debit card had been suspended. I hung up and called my bank, who confirmed my card was fine. No caller ID. It's an obvious scam. Kearney, NJ?
