So I have an account on care.com for dog walking service and got a text message from this number asking met to email her sister who is looking for a dog walker. I emailed and got a response that was very detailed and basically saying they wanted to hire me to walk there two dogs when they moved to this area. They would send a cashier check ahead of time as the dogs might get there before they do and so on.... Well I'm thankfully aware of scams like this and hope this helps someone make the decision that it's to good to be true and they are scamming you for money. Even if your bank accepts the check about 7 days later it will deny it and your bank account can be negative by thousands of dollars. They will try everything to get you to send them money as fast as possible because of this. Be aware! You work hard for your money, don't let people do this to you!!!
Caller claims to be windows support team.....extremely annoying. repeats calls when you hang up on them. Told them they were full of BS and they hung up on me. Big Scammers. they just keep changing their numbers. Can't believe people actually let them into their computers.
I received a phone call from this number and when I returned the call this man with an India accent answered and said that he F#@$ the American people every day. This was rude and many people were in the back ground....We here in the United States do not need these calls. Please have the person at this numbers phone disconnected.I( hope that some one can do this and press criminal charges....!!!! The FCC should be notified and disconnect this number so this does not happen in this country. These people doing this should not be in the United States bothering anyone.....!!!!!!!!!! THANK YOU...AND God bless the U.S.A.
Indian-accented callers claim to be from a 'server company' but not Windows. Callers claim your Windows machine is infected with malware. First technician, 'Judas Wilson', had me open my Event Viewer via start > run > eventvwr.
Following this, Wilson transferred me to 'Jason Smith'. Smith led me to a location within the event viewer which generally will contain warnings and errors. He claimed this indicated the malware's presence, and at that time he requested to connect to my PC. I tried to clarify his company name, but I couldn't make it out when he spoke it. Eventually, he realized that I knew it was a scam and hung up. It wasn't the worst way to spend 8 minutes.
I've received 4 calls today, starting at 7:48am from 201-374-8004. Looking forward to the next call as I have a police whistle ready to go. If they're able to hear out of their ear and are stupid enough to call me back I'll go for the Air Horn. I'm done!
