I think this number is associated with this one...973-821-4007. When I answered I pretended to be my daughter ("I'm sorry that's my mother"), they proceeded with their pitch and when I asked them if she could call back, they gave all these excuses why she couldn't. Then he had the nerve to ask if I could make a donation and have my mother pay me back! Any organization that would ask a CHILD for a donation to me as a SCAM! They claimed to be PAL, but I don't think even THEY would sink so low...
Received a call from this number a few days ago. I answered it and the caller asked for me personally, then asked for a donation to the police athletic league in my area. When I agreed, he transferred me to his "supervisor". I asked where she was from and she said she was in New Mexico. She knew my address. I did not give any more information. She's supposed to send me the paperwork to mail in my donation! Her phone number is 505-254-4805 and belongs to the New Mexico PAL. When I looked up 201-399-2809 it was coming from Englewood, NJ. Sounds like a scam to me!
201-399- 2809 - This is a scam phone #. No police organization will ever call you to solicit money. If you do happen to pick up this call, just tell the caller to send the info via U.S. Mail so you can look it over. You will never hear from them again.
