Survey claiming to represent the IRS. What does asking if I use the Internet to buy products have to do with the IRS? What does asking if I used social websites such as Facebook have to do with the IRS? Sure they threw in a couple of questions like did you file a tax return last year? Since they knew my name before they called, they knew that I did. I am suspicious as to the real reason behind this call.
Russell Research. They call me at the office on a variety of industry topics (transportation in my case). They often send $10 checks for my time. They once invited me to a presentation dinner and survey with a $200 gift card payment but I could not make it. They've never been rude to me before.
Called for my little sister who married, asked for her by her maiden name and said they were calling from the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) so she could take a survey. Told them not to call again, I think it's a scam.
Not a scam. I actually work for this company and we have been conducting surveys for the IRS for over ten years atleast. We conducts surveys for many large corporations and well known products. Just recently our facility has expanded to conducting in-house focus groups which pay very well. Anyway, I just wanted to put your mind at ease that no one was trying to scam you.
